MIKEL’S AGENT IN ALMOST SUCCESSFUL $500,000 SCAM/DEAL

If English man Glen Hoddle had ended up as the technical adviser of Nigeria senior national team -the Super Eagles instead of the Swede Lars Lagerback the agent of Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi John Ola Shittu would have ended up with a cool $500,000 in his pocket according to The Nigerian Tribune

The Nigerian Tribune reported that Ola Shittu was so miffed that his man? Did not get the Nigerian technical adviser job /or better still …..Miffed he was going to lose out on a big pay day …..500,000 big ones….. He concocted that some members of the interview panel had demanded a kick-back- from who exactly…..not that they are saints anyway - which led to an embarrassing wild goose chase by Presidential Task Force (PTF) Chairman, Gov. Rotimi Amaechi,

According to Tribune sports investigations, Gov. Saraki and Shittu went to the PTF Chairman to complain that the British coach was 'robbed' which led to an investigative panel that looked into the allegations which were found to be baseless and malicious.

Revelation further showed and described the player agent as an interloper and a confusionist who had smuggled himself into Hoddle’s camp like the thief in the night wanting to be a part of the team that would benefit from Hoddle's financial gains from the contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He would have pocketed the sum of $500,000 for being part of the Hoddle team.

“In fact, it was a London-based football analyst and commentator, Gath Cooth who introduced Hoddle to the panel and he came to Nigeria with him as his agent. Hoddle was favoured for the job before Lars Lagerback came into the picture and we were shocked when his (Hoddle) negotiation paper was signed by both Cooth and Shittu. We called Hoddle and he said that Shittu came into the picture because some people in Nigeria asked him to include his name as his agent. We had to return the paper because it was Cooth that we know as Hoddle’s agent not Shittu.


“For Shittu to have lied to Gov. Saraki and Amaechi goes a long way to tell you the kind of person he is,” the source added.

Ok…. ok …ok he was caught ……so what next ….. ….He was said to have begged for clemency after he was thoroughly washed down by the panel. He was also at the VIP during the Nigeria versus DR Congo international friendly match on Wednesday appealing to members of the panel for forgiveness.

For clarification the interview panel gave out the results of the final scores of the five candidates, it was discovered that Hoddle was beaten to the second place by Lagerback with Bruno Metsu, Sven Goran Eriksson and Ratomir Djukovic coming third, fourth and fifth respectively.
